Pilates for Triathletes

Triathletes like two things: getting faster and avoiding injuries. That’s why Liana has come up with sport-specific routines designed to make triathletes (and swimmers, cyclists, and runners) swim, bike, and run more efficiently.  She tweaks these routines for her clients’ specific goals and any imbalances she sees in order to avoid injury.  She has also developed a routine that triathletes can take home so they can continue to strengthen areas important to their sport while traveling or on the road.

Pilates for Triathletes sessions will primarily focus on the following: working towards balanced unilateral movement, improving balance, increasing range of motion in the shoulder girdle while strengthening it, increasing strength of the gluteus medius, working on foot placement, increasing abdominal strength to support the repetitive movement in running and cycling, and more.  These will improve athletic performance as well as assist in prevention of injuries.

Liana has worked with athletes from all backgrounds, including every-day age-groupers, elite marathoners, and Ironman triathletes.

New clients are offered the following special of 4 sessions at $200 (a $60 savings).  The first session is focused on swimming, the second on cycling, the third running, and the fourth is a series of mat-based exercises to take home.
